Mustang Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!

We are thrilled to welcome all our new and returning families to Desert Vista Elementary! As we begin a new year full of learning, connection, and growth, we’re especially excited to continue our journey toward becoming a leadership-focused school.

This year, students will take an even more active role in their learning by setting, tracking, and celebrating their own personal goals. With a strong emphasis on leadership, we’re empowering every child to discover their strengths, take ownership of their growth, and lead with confidence—both in and out of the classroom.

We are also looking for families who want to help us grow and support our students in meaningful ways. Please consider joining our PTO or Site Council—two important groups that help shape the future of our school. PTO meets monthly, and Site Council meets quarterly following one of our PTO meetings. Your voice and involvement make a difference. Together, we can make this an incredible year for all of our Mustangs!

Kindergarten Families, please remember that all kindergarten students will be screened during the first three days of school to help us create balanced classrooms. Your child will bring home a letter on Friday indicating who their final teacher will be for the school year.

Fifth Grade Families, 5th grade students will choose between band, choir, or orchestra for their music special. Instrument Rental Night for all 5th–12th grade students will be held at CCJH on Wednesday, July 23 at 5:00 PM.

If your family needs assistance with registration, please call the front office at 480-677-7510.

For help with bus information, contact Transportation at 480-677-7556.

📅 School starts Wednesday at 8:35 AM
🎒 Please label all student belongings, especially jackets and water bottles, with student names so they can be returned if misplaced.

Attached are some important documents to help you start the year off right—including breakfast and lunch menus. Remember to fill out Free & Reduced Lunch Applications each year to be able to continue in the program.

Let’s make this an amazing year together! We can’t wait to partner with you in making this a year of purpose, progress, and Mustang pride!

With Respect,
Mrs. Fant
