🍂 Welcome to November, Mustangs!

It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into November! This month is full of gratitude, celebration, and community here at Desert Vista Elementary. We’re thankful for our amazing students, families, and staff who make DVES such a special place to learn and grow.

A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us for our annual Spooktacular! It was such a fun evening, and we loved seeing so many creative costumes and smiling faces.

❤️ Red Ribbon Week

We wrapped up October with an amazing Red Ribbon Week full of Mustang spirit! Thank you for helping us promote healthy choices and positive living.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Assembly – Monday, Nov. 10 @ 10:00 a.m.

🏀 Basketball Season Update

Basketball is going strong! Our Mustangs are showing great teamwork and sportsmanship each week.

Please note that K–2 basketball practice will be held on Monday, November 10, since there is no school on Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

📅 Important Dates

No School – Tuesday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day)
PTO Meeting – Tuesday, Nov. 18 @ 4:00 p.m.
No School – Nov. 26–28 (Thanksgiving Break)

📚 Book Blast Success!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Book Blast! Over 1,000 books will be delivered to DVES, and every student will receive at least one new book to take home and enjoy!

Thank you for all you do to make Desert Vista a place where students lead, learn, and shine every day.

Wednesday, November 5 - Early Release Wellness Wednesday (Students release at 1:35 pm). Students need to wear PE shoes.
Monday, November 10 - Veterans Day Celebration at 10:00 am
Tuesday, November 11 - NO SCHOOL
Wednesday, November 26-Friday, November 28 - NO SCHOOL
Monday, December 22-Monday January 5 - NO SCHOOL (WINTER BREAK)
Tuesday, January 6 - School Resumes
